Choose your next Rowoon drama by its world: a school inside a comic, a secret palace romance, a cursed lawyer or a grim-reaper team. Four roles, without spoilers.

Four worlds. Four very different Rowoon dramas.
A school uniform, ceremonial robes, a tailored suit: the wardrobe changes are obvious. The more interesting difference is how much freedom Rowoon's characters have inside the worlds they inhabit. One barely exists on the page. Another works beside a dangerous royal secret. A third has a professional answer for almost everything except a curse.
That makes setting a useful way to choose your first drama. These four series ask for different kinds of attention, from noticing the rules of a fictional universe to following the emotional rhythm of an ensemble. Pick the world you want to spend time in, then let the character introduce himself.
Your Rowoon starting menu
| Drama | Rowoon's role | Choose it for |
| Extraordinary You | Haru | School romance that questions its own script |
| The King's Affection | Jung Ji-un | A palace romance with a secret at its center |
| Destined with You | Jang Shin-yu | Modern romantic comedy with a supernatural problem |
| Tomorrow | Choi Jun-woong | An unusual workplace and an emotionally demanding team drama |
Extraordinary You: when the background character matters
Haru starts with an extraordinary disadvantage: he is an unnamed extra inside a romantic comic. MBC's official character guide identifies Rowoon's character as a student known by his attendance number before Eun Dan-oh, played by Kim Hye-yoon, calls him Haru. Their relationship develops within a world where the writer has already assigned everybody a part.
Choose this when familiar school-drama conventions sound more interesting with their machinery exposed. Pay attention to the difference between a scene behaving as expected and a character trying to make a choice. Haru's quiet presence works within that tension; finding room for a personal response matters as much as making a grand declaration. If you prefer your romance with a puzzle about the world itself, this is the most distinctive entry point here.
The King's Affection: yearning inside palace protocol
Rowoon plays Jung Ji-un, the teacher of crown prince Yi Hwi. The audience knows the central secret from the premise: Yi Hwi is a woman living as her deceased twin brother. Netflix's official announcement pairs Rowoon with Park Eun-bin and establishes the royal lectures that bring their characters together.
The appeal is the pressure surrounding an ordinary feeling. A private connection has to negotiate rank, ceremony and the consequences of being observed. Start here if you enjoy restraint, loaded pauses and a romance that gains weight from its setting. Let the palace relationships settle before expecting every conversation to declare its purpose. Destined with You: a polished lawyer loses control
Jang Shin-yu is a lawyer whose competence cannot neatly resolve an inherited curse. Netflix's series description introduces the civil servant who holds a possible way out, while JTBC's official first-episode clip identifies Rowoon as Shin-yu opposite Cho Bo-ah's Lee Hong-jo.
This is the pick for viewers who want contemporary surroundings alongside an outsized romantic complication. The fun comes from placing a controlled professional in situations that resist his control. Compared with Haru's tentative discovery of identity, Shin-yu begins with an established public persona for the story to unsettle. Choose it for the friction between that composure and the supernatural premise; the curse and its history are part of the experience, so avoid reading later episode summaries first.
Tomorrow: the newcomer on an impossible assignment
Choi Jun-woong enters a very different workplace. MBC's character page describes him as a half-human, half-spirit contract employee in the crisis-management team at Jumadeung. An accident interrupts his ordinary life, and working alongside grim reapers becomes his unexpected next step.
Choose this for an ensemble in which a newcomer has to learn how to help people under extreme pressure. Jun-woong's impulsiveness gives the team another perspective. This series addresses suicide and distressing experiences; its fantasy framework carries serious material. Save it for a mood that welcomes emotional stories rather than expecting the romantic focus of the other three.
