A listening guide to “Golden,” “Your Idol” and the real performers behind the fictional groups.
One song brings you into KPop Demon Hunters; the next introduces a whole new set of names. If your playlist says HUNTR/X or Saja Boys, it helps to open the detailed credits. Those group names belong to the film’s world. The recordings bring together real singers, songwriters and producers whose names are worth following.
This KPop Demon Hunters songs guide starts with five recordings, then explains the version labels and performer fields that make a soundtrack easier to explore. It keeps the focus on listening, without reproducing lyrics or explaining the ending.
Five songs. The names to follow.
The performer column below follows Netflix’s official soundtrack credits. It identifies the recordings, rather than listing everyone who speaks for a character.
| Song | In the story | Credited performers |
| “Golden” | HUNTR/X | EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI |
| “Soda Pop” | Saja Boys | Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, samUIL Lee |
| “Your Idol” | Saja Boys | Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, samUIL Lee |
| “Free” | Rumi and Jinu | EJAE, Andrew Choi |
| “Takedown” — film version | HUNTR/X | EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI |
Start with “Golden,” then widen the circle
EJAE is both a co-songwriter of “Golden” and Rumi’s singing voice. Netflix’s official oral history traces how filmmakers and music creators developed the song together. It is a useful next read once you want to connect a finished recording to the people who shaped it.
Try following one credit at a time. Start with the three vocal performers, then move to the writers and producers. A performer’s other recordings and a songwriter’s other credits offer different routes out of the same favourite track. Save the particular role beside the name so that your listening notes stay clear.
Who sings “Your Idol”?
“Your Idol” uses the Saja Boys performer team listed above. The same five names appear on “Soda Pop,” giving you two recordings to compare from one vocal line-up. In the soundtrack guide, executive music producer Ian Eisendrath discusses the darker atmosphere the team wanted for “Your Idol.” Read that account after your first listen if you prefer to avoid the accompanying plot discussion.
For a short listening session, pair those two songs before moving to “Free.” That changes the scale of the credited line-up from five performers to a duet. This is an editorial listening route, rather than a claim about the film’s scene order or the album’s complete track sequence.
Check which “Takedown” you selected
The soundtrack includes a separate “Takedown” TWICE version, performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung. Netflix identifies that version in its official film and music overview. Keep its version label in your playlist so the two recordings remain easy to recognise.
When comparing a soundtrack recording, an official video, a live performance or a cover, check the title and artist fields each time. A shared song title does not identify the same recording. Your saved version should reflect the performance you actually want to hear again.
Soundtrack, score and cast: three useful labels
The film and soundtrack arrived in June 2025, as Netflix’s “Golden” oral history records. The official film overview also credits Marcelo Zarvos with the score. A soundtrack song’s vocal performer, the score composer and a character’s dialogue actor therefore describe different parts of the production.
For the character-by-character speaking and singing pairings, continue with our KPop Demon Hunters cast guide. If Jinu leads you toward live-action dramas, our Ahn Hyo-seop watch guide takes that next step.
For your next search, keep three details together: the song title, its version label and the credited performer. Those small distinctions make a fan playlist a much better map of the artists behind it.
